BIO
I am a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Course Director (Foundations of Medicine) for the Deakin University MD program. In this role, I focus on creating accessible, inclusive learning environments and improving pathways into medicine for students from non‑traditional and underrepresented backgrounds, including disabled and neurodivergent learners. My current research uses co‑design methods to better understand the experiences of neurodivergent medical and health students, particularly in clinical learning contexts.
Alongside my medical education scholarship, I maintain an active laboratory research program focussing on reproductive physiology and endocrinology. I currently supervise graduate researchers exploring cell signalling pathways in diabetes, with a particular focus on hydrogen sulfide biology in gestational diabetes and diabetic chronic kidney disease.
Within the MD curriculum, I coordinate the Endocrine and Life Cycle block and teach physiology and reproductive and developmental biology, integrating my research expertise into the learning experiences of future clinicians
I am a member of the Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT)
